Today organizations deal with constant change in a global world. Baby Boomers can no longer think about quitting work after 25 years. Experience in the workplace which is what the Baby boomers bring to the workforce. Generation X, per our textbook, Human Resource Management, states they like to have hands on and Millennials look for instant training but from a mentor that has a lot to offer (Mathis, Jackson, Valentine, & Meglich, 2017, p. 299). Since all generations are important it would be best for me as part of HR to assess my training needs. I would need to know who my HiPos are and my up and coming stars and begin providing cross-training for those employees. While yet providing ongoing training for those that have potential to be the
