Firstly, according to Robnett and Chop (2015), “the graying of America continues to accelerate as the first of the baby boom generation (those born between 1946 and 1964) turned 65 years of age in 2011 (p. 2). Thus, to find supplementary about the baby boomer generation in the 1960’s and 1970’s, I interviewed my Aunt Mala who is 62 years of age, to become more acquainted further about these time period, and in addition, contrast it to the present day era. Then again, familiar things like the use of black and white television’s with long antennas, dial phones and yellows pages to look up any phone number, unless the individual was to be charged to utilize the operator, everyone knows about of this era. Not to mention, other than the phone, in order to converse with relatives in India, she would send arrow grams, which didn’t arrive to our family members until months later. Furthermore, the fashion sense of my aunt was cool as she used to dress in jumpsuits, bloom dresses, due to it being a trend in the 70’s.
