Life is a struggle. It will throw curveballs at some, it will humble many, and it will attempt to break even more down. Just when someone thinks things are looking up, life will tear them back down. The reason most people never achieve their dreams is because they simply give up. Life was never meant to be easy. It is a constant struggle, with extreme highs and extreme lows. Remember that the times when it is most important to preserve are the times that one will be most tested. One cannot give up when they do not know what their future holds. Babe Ruth once said, “It’s hard to beat a person who never gives up.” This quote was stated in a magazine article where Ruth was talking about making it to first base. He may have been talking about baseball, but this quote can pertain to many different circumstances. We all know Babe Ruth was a famous baseball player, but life was not always easy for him either. Ruth was placed in foster care at the age of seven, but he never let that hold him back. Life can be tough even for those who seem to have it easy. Ruth never gave up and he eventually became one of the greatest baseball players of all times. When dealing with hard situations it is only natural to start thinking about giving up. It only leads people to start thinking small again, because they lose faith in their ability to achieve greatness.
