It was important whilst on Jeremy Kyle as a researcher to ensure each and every story was validated. This involved asking a wide range of questions to a close family members of contributor.
Throughout my career so far I have learnt a lot about working under pressure and managing to maintain a professional and effective working relationship with contributors and peers, which has also come with the art of grammatically correct writing, casting and writing synopsis. All of these require a high level of research and analytical reading which was essential for a positive outcome.
During my time at BBC within the BBC Children’s department we were constantly searching for new ideas and would encourage viewer interaction during the Christmas and Easter periods. This included encouraging our viewers to design ‘Christmas Jumpers’ for Hacker and Dodge or Designing Easter eggs to decorate CBBC HQ with. This was important in order to capture their imagination and bring it to the forefront in what we created. There were many times where I also wrote scripts for CBBC presenters – seeing them come from brainstorms with producers to the television was something that I was immensely proud
