B2B Canned Good Auction Case Study

Decent Essays
Funds have been used to support the recruiting, retention and graduation of minority males. We have used these funds to support less fortunate families as we have our annual “B2B Canned Good Auction”. During this event canned goods are collected for donating to the Lamar County DFACS Office. In addition to community support we have also used our club funds to develop a faculty centered support system. We have displayed this with our “B2B Legacy Ball” where faculty members were honored for their involvement.

When I was first introduced to Lambda Theta Phi Latino Fraternity Inc., certain aspects of the organization caught my attention. First and foremost, the organization promotes unity within the Latino community. Being united as Latinos is essential because together we acquire great accomplishments for the betterment of the community as well as ourselves. Moreover, being united provides the opportunity to demonstrate our capabilities as Latinos and break the barriers society has imposed upon us. For me, being able to interact with Latinos at UNCG, through this organization, and having the opportunity to meet individuals who demonstrate valuable character is of great importance.…

This is the most fun part to ponder about for ideas because there are so many things we, meaning Buchtel could do. Methods to support students and staff in demonstrating they care about Buchtel CLC is to be a part of things that’s happening in Buchtel CLC! Ideas such as gender switch day, pajama day, pep rallies every month, senior auction, bring a pillow and blanket to school, movie day every two months and also out of the box events we can do laser quest in school, sing-offs & dance offs in the auditorium, getting a mascot again which would really show our school spirit because it could be at games and pep rallies. Also with the games, we could have a cheer squad/ hype men since cheerleaders aren't always at every sporting event. With…

As the literature has shown, alumni with positive feelings for their alma mater tend to make donations to the institution. It is also possible that these positive feelings may increase alumni engagement. This increase in alumni engagement will ultimately have a positive impact on the experiences of current Black students on campus. By encouraging stronger relationships between Black students and alumni, we can expect that these students will be active alumni in the future.…
