It was said that some of the 240,000 people were believed to have died in the city’s conquest when cortes mounted an offensive against Tenochtitlan on August 13, 1521, finally defeating Cuauhtemoc’s resistance.
The Aztec’s clothing did not fully cover the bodies of the Aztec people, the clothing material were made of cotton or ayate fiber. The women would weave the material into clothing, they also wear skirts and a sleeve less blouse. The men wore tilmatli which is also known as a cloak. However, it could be used to carry things or just to be worn. Long ago, the clothings were an enormous part of the economy, it united them and also separated them and today they still do.
