Complete Awesomeness As a child, I was told to always be myself, and that people were made to be unique and different. There were times in my life, as I was growing up, when my friends would make fun of me for doing something dumb, or for being a little different than the rest of them. For me, I wanted to fit in, and I most definitely did not want to be known as the weird person; I wanted to be like everybody else. I began to realize, as I got older, that who I am is awesome. I am awesome. I realized that being unique is the reason why we are all awesome. I am awesome, because I am a unique person with an incredible personality. I stand up for what I believe in, I care about human kind, I am musically inclined, I am athletic, and I have many traits that define who I am, and how I am unique. To begin with, I am not afraid to stand up for what I believe in. I believe that this trait is important for people to have, mostly because you will develop self-respect, self-confidence, independency, and integrity. I have found that I have more respect for people who stand up for what …show more content…
Having integrity is very rare, especially in our society today, for people to acquire. It is, also, very rare for people to legitimately care for all people. How often do you see people go out of their way to care for others? Caring for people and having integrity are two traits that are most definitely not the popular choice. If everyone in our world had integrity and genuinely cared for humankind, we would live in a society with extremely less crime, death, political protesting/rioting, and social disagreement. By caring for other people, you are living by the Golden Rule. Treat others how you would want to be treated. I think that this rule is an excellent rule to live by.
