One in ten people who use dating sites have matched with a catfish. Catfishing is the act of someone using a false identity on the internet to get into a relationship with a person. The aim of someone catfishing is to hurt the victim. Many people get catfishes every day and is slowly increasing. There are many ways people can avoid getting cat fished.
The first way that people can avoid being catfished is using a well-known dating site. Most well-known dating sites may cost money but is worth it to avoid being catfished. You are more likely to not be catfished using a dating site that cost money because most catfish are not willing to pay to make a fake account. Well known dating sites has a statistic of only 1 in 40 people getting catfished.
