Travis Victor Alexander was born on July 28, 1977, in Riverside, California. His paternal grandmother, Norma Sarvey, took him in and introduced him to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There he became a Mormon. He later began working with PPL (Prepaid Legal Services). Jodi Ann Arias was born on July 9, 1980, in Salinas, California. She and Alexander met in September 2006 at a PPL Services conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. Alexander was a Mormon and on November 26, 2006, Arias was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Alexander and Arias began dating in February 2007.
