“It is what you see in yourself that counts”. In the movie “Cool Running's”, the characters demonstrate responsibility and support which is also traits I have possessed and exhibit as a dedicated AVID student. The traits helped the Olympians in the movie reach their goals, and can also help me reach my goals. These character traits were seen throughout the whole entire movie. Now i will talk about how they should those two character traits. One character trait that the Olympian and an Avid student show is support. They have to support each other when they race, they have to make everybody feel like they are an important piece of the team. Their families showed support towards them when they wanted to be a bobsled team. For example, they never gave up and with everything they said like, Sanka “they hate us”, Yul: “We’re different, People are afraid of what is different”. Many people doubted them because there has never been a Jamaican bobsled team. People had doubts about them, but after they showed that they can go through everything. As a dedicated Avid student, I have my own goals too. My goals are to finish a high school and choose a good career and help my family financially. I will reach my goals just like the Olympians reached their goals in becoming a bobsled team. In conclusion the bobsled team was very successful using many character traits like responsibility and support. The bobsled team was successful with those character traits and I as an avid student will also succeed using those character traits. The bobsled team would have not reached their goals without character traits. They were a very good team and they supported each other because it was their
