Improved Essays
Avedis Donabedian proposed in 1970 to measure the quality of health care, subject to its structure, processes and outcomes. Structure measurement resources assess the quality, availability, and their availability as well as the number of nurses with advanced training, health insurance and hospital bed capacity. Process measures estimated provision of health care to staff and suppliers, such as using the guidelines for the care of patients with diabetes. Outcome measures indicate the final outcome of health care and can be influenced by environmental and behavioral factors. As perfect examples can be used mortality, patient satisfaction, and better health.
In health, continuous quality improvement (CQI) is used interchangeably with Total Quality
