For example the text states, “Okay I muttered, I was scared but determined.” This piece of text shows that Ava knew she had to turn in her coach and teammate,and she was determined to do it because she knew it was right, but she was also scared. But she told herself that what she was doing was right and that it needed to be done or nothing is going to change not just for her but for other students too. “Don't Give Up The Fight” has a very upset and enraged mood. While “Making Sarah Cry” has a very soft and sad mood. For example in the text “Don't Give Up The Fight” it states,’’No” I called back over there sobs. “No im not dead.” This shows that the mood is enraged and upset because she is enraged at the boys because there teasing her and asking if she’s dead when they know she’s not. It is important to notice that there coach is even laughing which is so wrong that he’s laughing about one of the cruel jokes that one of his players is saying to another one of his players, and he’s laughing. The passage “Don't Give Up The Fight” also states,”I tried not to punch the closest thing to me, which happened to be Coach McCoy.” This shows that the mood is enraged and upset because she is upset at one of the boys who made a cruel comment about Ava’s running, and Ava is mad that her coach heard it and just kept doing roll call and didn’t even acknowledge the fact that he is making these comments. In the passage “Making Sarah Cry” it states,”She was born without a heart.” This shows that the mood is sad and soft because other kids on the playground are saying she doesn’t have a heart just because she is different and not as smart as the other kids doesn’t mean that Sarah should be treated any differently. “Making Sarah
