Have you ever noticed in some books motivations can be really important? Well for the book “Autumn’s Kiss” Autumn is motivated by her friends and family. One person she is motivated by is her Dad. Another person she is motivated by is Sean, her crush. The last person she is motivated is her Mom and how she’s trying to be like her.

The first reason that shows Autumn is motivated by her friends and family is because she was motivated by her dad . One pices of evidence is when her dad died in a car crash she didn’t want to get her driver's licence(pg.12). This is Important because she takes what happend to her dad and now whenever her mom wants her to get her driver’s licence she looks back to that and hesitates not to. Another part this is shown is since her dad’s favorite holiday was halloween now she wants to have the best halloween parties (pg.37). This proves she was motivated by her dad because my author wrote “This would be a little bit easier if he like another holiday” which means she would do the same thing even if it was a different holiday. The last place this is shown is her dad was always helping people out so now she wants to, but maybe more than she should (pg.63).

One place this is show is when she wants Sean to like her so she wants to look like a model (pg.2). This shows she is motivated is by Sean because if she didn’t want sean to like her she wouldn’t want to look good around him. Another reason she is motivated by Sean is whenever she is around him she doesn’t act like herself (pg.15). This is important to notice because she acts like herself around other friends but no around him.The last example is because Sean is on the football team she wants to be there mascot for halloween (pg.82). This is significant because she said “The zombie costume looked so good but if I want to get close to Sean I need the tiger

Tyler’s oral response to “Seven Kisses in a Row” demonstrates multiple weaknesses and strengths. One of Tyler’s weaknesses is that instead of using decoding to figure out the word “spangles” she as an alternative uses a rhyming word to try and understand the meaning. Tyler infers the word ‘spangle’ is close to the word “bangle” due to its rime. She does not try and use clues around the word such as the terms “eat and booties”. One of Tyler’s strengths is that she really understands the inferential meaning of the text.…

The narrative voice is the perspective of a novel, and it is through this voice that the reader receives and becomes connected to the story. This voice can appear in a variety of ways; for example, one common perspective is first person point of view, through which the narrator speaks directly to the reader by using personal pronouns such as ‘I.’ By creating a character that speaks directly to the reader, they become personally tied to what the narrator is telling them. In this way the reader must come to rely on what the character divulges to them, similar to the way a person might need to when talking to another person. The Feast of Love, by Charles Baxter, takes this common perspective and twists it in a unique and influential way.…

Auguste Rodin once stated, “What is commonly called ugliness in nature, can in art become full beauty”. In Rodin’s sculpture The Kiss, made from 1901 to 1904, he applies his own philosophy to showcase the relationship of Paolo Malatesta and Francesca da Ramini from Dante’s Inferno, in the impressionism period. The marble sculpture depicts the two nude, sensually embracing in a corkscrew with their hands all over each other, sitting upon a rough rock-like structure. The sculpture is carved in the round and has subtle, but noticeable imperfections throughout. Paolo as the idealized tall male figure tilts his head down towards Francesca, as she kisses him and entwines her arms around his neck and back.…
