New Autonomous Unit for a Research and Technology Corporation
I am creating a new autonomous unit for the Intuitive Research and Technology Corporation. The autonomous unit being created is a group looking for individuals for a C.A.R.E. day within the company. C.A.R.E. day stands for Creating Awareness Rewards Everyone. We do this CARE day every quarter. We bring in physical therapist, a nutritionist, a health food store representative, and a massage therapist for CARE day. As a company we like to provide the best rewards/ benefits for our employees. We are creating a new unit to go out and agree upon each individual needed for the CARE day.

There are many influences the work and work environment can have like work-life balances, recognition for hard work, and having a strong team spirt. A positive work environment makes employees feel good about coming to work, and this provides the motivation to sustain them throughout the day. Having transparent and an open communication between each employee within the unit can be a morale booster. An open form of communication addresses the employee’s need to feel that what they have to say has value. Work then becomes meaningful because the employees know that what they contribute affects the organization as a whole. Eventually, however, communication can break down. This point should be when someone suggests ideas for improvement, that can benefit everyone. Work-life balance can be a real struggle for some employees. The balance can sometimes shift to one side or the other. There is an importance factor here to keep morale high so that someone does not drag it down because of the life balance. This is a constant juggle game. Employees also need to fulfill life goals such as those of family, friends, self-growth. These goals can let them feel more confident about themselves and perform their best at work. There are many factors that can lead to high employee turnover. Steps to avoid these should be to have plenty of free time, let each employee have family time, and there should be plenty of benefits of working in a unit. Finally, there should be recognition of hard work. Rewards are necessary to encourage certain behaviors from people. Positive reinforcement is an important factor in this, the more work put in to a project the better reward out of it. I would give a prize for the person with the best work put in to a project.
