This report explores the implications of autonomous taxis on transportation planning. This report also predicts implication of autonomous taxi in the future development and effect of transportation planning decision. This paper would also analyze impact on car ownership, mobility, traffic congestion, parking demand, traffic safety, public transit, land use, energy conservation, integrated infrastructure, job market and pollution in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
There is five criteria to satisfy over the conventional cars which are congestion problem solution, safety improvements, less impact on environment, economic feasibility, and comfort and convenience.
