When I graduate from high school i would like to become an automotive service technician otherwise known as a mechanic. In the mechanic field you deal with a lot difficult situations such as not knowing what is wrong with a specific vehicle and sometimes not knowing how to resolve the issue. To be specific as a mechanic you will do a number of things such as inspect, maintain, and repair cars and light trucks(summary2). It is also important to understand the education or training requirements, skills or talents needed, salary and benefits offered, and the duties for a automotive mechanic when making this decision.

There are career opportunities like this not only in the united states but worldwide, this would allow you to broaden your horizons and experience other automotive vehicles from across the world. The daily routine as a automotive mechanic includes inspecting, repairing and maintaining vehicles to a customer's request or the way the dealer has instructed you to do(summary1).
In addition the mechanic would be in charge of explaining automotive problems to a customer(summary3), for example if a woman's car is having an issue you must explain to her in a way that is easy to understand what is wrong and what you can do to help get her car fixed as soon as possible. Granted that you do what you are told do and do it well you would be making a whopping $18.20 an hour, although being a mechanic is easier said than done getting up to $40,000 a year is not impossible. Additionally you could take your experience elsewhere and become an auto body and glass repairman which would earn you a little less at $38,880 a year. As of 2014 the job market statistics for an automotive mechanic were 4% which was slower than average. The current job market is 5% and expected to increase to

Equally important you must be outgoing and willing to work at any time, help out other mechanics in your workplace. There must also be a good level of organization and honesty, this will make your time at work much easier for you and other co-workers.
I would also recommend going to and completing a vo-tech school, this type of program will help get you certified and on your way to becoming a fully certified mechanic. If I do decide to be divergent and go to a vo-tech school I would most likely goto Eoctech in Choctaw Oklahoma, additionally you must me at least 16 years of age to enroll to this school and get acquiescence. If you qualify you could potentially get grants such as pell grants and many more, furthermore it will take me approximately 2 - 3 years to complete my education at eoctech but it would be very worth the
