Autobiography Assignment My life had been a journey ever since I existed in this world. I did not have a traditional childhood growing up, it all started when I was baby where I was found by the police in Suzhou, China and taken to a local Chinese orphanage. Here I would spend my first 18 months before I was adopted by my mom Frankie, and moved across the world to Calgary, AB, Canada. Here I made my roots and started forming family traditions with my other aunts and uncles in my family. Some family traditions we had is spending time with all our family members during the holidays, as family is important to our culture. Up until grade two it was just my mom and I. She was a pharmacist and owned her on drug store, which means I got to play with all the equipment. Even though I lost my mom at a young age she taught me to work hard and not take anything for granted. She also taught me the importance of serving, or giving to others as it will eventually mean in good karma. The mom I have now, also taught me the lessons she has learned in her life and the values she has bestowed on me. The values she stressed is to be loyal, honest, and stay true to your family. This also corresponds with our culture. My father also demonstrated to me perseverance and how this can build character and make you a stronger individual. All of the parental figures I have in my life, I would like to think I got the best qualities from them. However, not only my were my parents my mentors, but also my teachers. Even though I did not like every teacher I had, they all taught me lessons; whether it be patience, kindness, courage, or just being a peacekeeper. But they instilled a concept I carry with me always, which is be treated the way you want to be
