I like to get my hands dirty and enjoy the positive feeling of repairing something. A problem in a vehicle is a road block in somebody’s life. That part of me removing that problem and helping someone continue pursuing their goal is quite a warm feeling, automotive technicians are doctors for vehicles. We are alike to doctors because we perform abilities that the most common person cannot. We remove problems that affects one's living and help them back on their feet. During my high school years, I was introduced to a class, Auto Tech, which was provided by Tri-Cities ROP. What Tri-Cities ROP strives to do is help students prepare for college and expose careers they may wish to follow in their lives. I have taken automotive technician courses to better understand car problems and how to repair them. Taken these courses has certified me in that course area. To add, I have also been a president of a school car club. The car club gave back to our staff and teachers by providing maintenance work for no labor cost. Parts and other accessories would have to been bought or paid for already. Besides working on vehicles, we would take field trips to trade schools, watch and get first hand look at drag pits crew members to analyze the difference from racing cars and normal vehicles. This milestone has helped me meet new friends who I would look up to as the time went by. I have made strong connections with friends who also dreamed the same career as me and have accomplished them. I keep these close friends because they can help me and point me to the right direction when seeking help. Among these friends most went to trade schools such as UTI, WyoTech, MMI. The other of these friends attend colleges such as Rio Hondo, Cerrito, and Pomona College. I have surround myself with important people and established strong connections which can help me improve and do well in this
