When referring to Autism today, many people use the term (ASD) Autism Spectrum Disorder. ASD is defined as a brain disorder resulting in restricted repetitive behaviors, interests, activities, and social-communication challenges. Also, it is defined as a developmental issue that causes significant behavioral, social and communication challenges. This caught my interest, because in class we discuss a lot about learned behaviors, as well as attention deficits. And I wanted to understand what causes children to have issues with this, as well as difficulty learning behaviors and motor skills. Children with Autism looks just like any ordinary child. What sets these children apart is the way they think, interact, learn, communicate, and problem solve.
