Autism is a brain-based disorder characterized by social-communication challenges and restricted repetitive behaviors, activities, and interests. Individuals with autism vary in language, from absent speech to fluent language, and from intellectual disability to above-average intellectual functioning. There are different types of autism and different reasons to why an individual gets this disorder. An autistic child requires a lot of attention and care and it can cause problem in the family sometimes. Especially if there are sibling involved that do not understand. There is really no certain explanation to what is the main cause of Autism. Most research relies of the fact that autism is caused by a combination of autism risk genes and environmental factors influencing early brain development. They refer autism risk genes to a big amounts of genes missing in the person or duplicated genes. The environmental factors are the events that happen before and during birth. Research has identified several genes that can cause autism by themselves, but these account for fifteen percent of cases of autism.Advanced parental age plays a role in this issue. Researchers say that older men having children increase the risk for autism because genetic mutations in sperm increase with a man’s age. It is not only stressful but they see that their sibling is getting more attention and could lead to hatred. If they hate their sibling with autism they will find everything they do annoying and will push that sibling away. It creates a more stressful environment for the house without anyone noticing. Some parents avoid taking their children out to public places to not have to face the reactions from people who do not understand the situation. They are afraid of people reacting badly to their autistic child throwing a tantrum. Other people could easily get bothered by the situation and could make judgmental remarks and the parents want to keep their family safe. By sheltering their children in the house they not only cause the child with autism but also the rest of the family to become house bond and isolated. It will end up having an effect on their social and emotional wellbeing in the long run. Children miss out on valuable social, educational, and life experiences that help them become the person they are meant to be. Without these experiences there’ll be a loss of identity and will make the child uncertain. Their confidence and self-esteem deteriorates because their parents do not realize the hurt their causing and it is not their fault. They don’t know better and are just doing their best to create a safe atmosphere for their
