The AISEP-2 was discussed in the book but has a more recent version referred to as AISEP-3 which is what I focused my research on. The assessment is primarily used by public school professionals to help develop appropriate instructional plans, and help differentiate between students with autism from those with other handicaps. The assessment also allows for measurement of progress monitoring. The test consists of 5 subtests which include a : behavioral checklist, sample of vocal behavior, interaction assessment, educational assessment, and prognosis of learning rate. It appears that this test is quickly scorable and a variety of school personnel could administer the test. The assessment seems to be relatively inexpensive compared to others that I have researched in the past. An entire kit costs a little under $300 and there is an option to buy individual subtests rather than the whole battery of tests. This provides flexibility for an educator to work with a specific portion of the assessment that gives the best data for educational planning. The major flaw that I identified is that this assessment is only for students up to 13 years and 11 months. This would not be of any value for educators beyond the 7th to 8th grade level and completely excluded senior high
