My parents’ style was more permissive with a mix of authoritative parenting. My mom and my father did not believe in spankings or really any kind of punishment they basically would just tell me they were disappointed and basically that’s it. I did whatever I wanted to I had total freedom but I did what I was supposed to do because I did not want to disappoint my family. I made the great grades, caption on my dance team, and went wherever whenever I wanted to but I defiantly knew right from wrong. I was able to talk to my parents about anything and I believe that’s the reason why our relationship is so close now. I think I will do the same to my kids I was scared and still is scared to disappoint my family and I hope my kids will feel the same
