I am so glad that you mentioned the topic of assessments. This is one component of art integration which we have not discussed yet. Assessments is a great way to discriminate if what is being taught is art enhancement or art integration. Authentic art integration instruction and/or lessons include art standards, objectives, and assessments. It is important to include assessments in art integration instruction because as with any assessments, it is important to know if students’ are meeting the objectives and it also give teachers’ the insight of success of a lesson.
