They are awareness and psychological, respectively.
Firstly, to find out our hypothesis concerning of the significance of awareness in blood donation behavior, we need to measure the propaganda, knowledge about blood donation and ignorance. Specifically, which propaganda channel is efficient should be considered in the questionnaire. According to Moore (1991), Nondonors may lack the knowledge of the need of blood, so the questionnaire includes the question about what percentage of respondents are familiar with the current situation of blood donation.
Based on the research of Drake, Finkelstein and Sapolsky (1982), the chief reason why a nondonor does not give blood is no one asked them to do so. This research was made in America and was made three decades ago, situation may be different now in Australia. The questionnaire set questions about if the respondent has been asked to make a donation and what result was occurred.
