Australia and the United States (U.S.) have shared a profitable relationship for many years, reaching as far back as World War I, where they fought side by side during every major war since that time (U.S. State Department, 2016). The military and political relations between Australia and the U.S. has cemented trade agreements, resulting in benefitting both nations, and their strong alliance is due to many of their shared cultural beliefs and democratic views.
According to the Merriam Webster dictionary, culture is defined as “the beliefs, customs, arts, etc., of a particular society, group, place, or time” (Culture, n.d.). Based on this definition, a comparison can be made on many different levels, from military priorities to society and

The Aboriginal people who were already there rebelled in the beginning, but came to accept that they had become part of a new society with the immigrating colonies. Since that time, the U.S. has been a part of Australia’s development and economic growth for more than 100 years, with the military cooperation leading to joint efforts in collecting intelligence, ballistic missile early warning, submarine communications, and satellite-based communications (Vaughn, 2015). This investment has boosted economy in that region, exploding the population to a whopping 22.7 million people along the coastlines (Vaughn, 2015). Among these people, several base values reside at their core, most of them very similar to those that the American people embrace.
