The village folk football continued in several areas though attenuated and confined by the authorities. In the public schools and the universities, a few variants of the game were played which had distinct and specific sets of rules. Each game, no matter who they play or where they play, there will always be a couple thousand people watching on. People all around Australia support a certain team and everyone knows what AFL is. There are some negatives. Sometimes people get in fights arguing about what team is the best, also happens on social media.
The sport also effects young kids. The AFL players are what kids want to be when they grow up. They are there hero’s, role models. The average ticket cost of a AFL game is $65.
Every team has a mascot, Essendon’s is called Moz "Skeeta" Reynolds. The Crows’ mascot is called Claude "Curls" Crow. The Port Adelaide mascot is called Tommy “Thunda” Power.
In AFL, we have lots of different cultures and backgrounds that play the beautiful game, such as: Africa, Aboriginal, Italy, China and many more. AFL even has different rounds to embrace our different cultures. There different rounds like the Anzac round, Indigenous round, and the multicultural round.
Drugs have majorly changed AFL forever. Drugs such as steroids are now called cheating since they improve player’s performance. People have been killed in their own life from different sorts of drugs, from overdosing to falling of a balcony.
