Auntie Leaf Monologue

Improved Essays
Hello, my name is Leaf, along with every other leaf on this tree. I don’t know what the names of the leaves on the tree beside me are. Let’s just say that I happen to be on the top branch and I also happen to be afraid of heights. All the other leaves on my tree say their parents told them that late autumn is the best time of year because you get to jump off this tree and land in the soft green grass below us; however, I disagree with them. I don’t think jumping is a good idea.
Overall, what happens if you get hurt? Or if the cold wind blows you away and you fall onto the hard concrete? That happened to my aunt Leaf. The only difference is that back when Auntie Leaf fell, the concrete was wet and now, every day, I see her frozen face-down.

I saw Sheila Brown today. She continued to exhibit paranoia and delusion. Despite her acknowledgement of ‘feeling slightly out of whack’, she was adamant that her suspicion on both of your intentions and manners were real and unrelated to her psychotic symptom. She was specifically fixated on Kimberly’s ways of talking. What concern me the most is her statement about not being hesitate to fight if anyone, including the staff, continues to disrespect her.…

Hi Rudin, Thanks for letting me know of your upcoming run-through. No I'm not sick and tired at all, I am excited for you (tired maybe lol). If I would live closer I wouldn't have to think about it at all, even with the Rose Bowl on at the same time. I am not surprised the maestro would not like to have anybody at the rehearsal, I was actually thinking of asking for myself, but I dismissed the thought for that reason, remember in London they didn't like it either. Thanks for willing to Skype, but under the circumstances, I will go to the Rose Bowl.…
