He was a founder of communist party of Burma and was assassinated by the rivals in 1947 when she was two years old. Her mother Khin Kyi was a nurse and after the death of General Aung San, she became one of the prominent political leader of Burma. Khin Kyi also served as a Burmese Ambassador to India. Aung San Suu Kyi accompanied her mother to India. She continued her schooling at India and graduated with a degree in Politics from Lady Shri Ram College, New Delhi in 1964. She continued her education at oxford with B.A degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics till 1969 where she met her husband Michael Aris. She live at USA working in United Nations, in Bhutan, worked for Royal Ministry for Foreign Affairs and in India. In 1973 she moved back to London with her family. Everything were professionally routine with cent percent of perfection when applied to her daily activities. She is more seen to be as transformational leader. She could easily inspire her fellow Burmese citizens with a shared vision of the future for Burma. The shared vision is to bring about a change in Burma. Albeit, Burma was rich as a country, yet the citizens remained very poor. Aung San Suu Kyi is very clear about this and publicly announces the reason for Burmese being so poor as a result of the Government being down and weak (Macqueen, 2012). Aung San Suu Kyi has exposed throughout, a clear set of admirable values. This way, she could easily build trust between herself and the Burmese people at large. Her sacrifices for her nation are highly appreciable as she had committed to bring a change for Burma. The US Secretary of the State during that time, Hillary Clinton was so much inspired by Aung San Suu Kyi’s incredible commitment and steady efforts towards a designated target of Free Burma and refers to her as “An Authentic Leader” (Macqueen, 2012).
Indeed, as we encounter various other leadership qualities in Aung San Suu Kyi, she is more sponged with transformational nature.
