August Pullman The Last Day At Camp Analysis

August Pullman is the protagonist in the story. He is ten years old, and was born with a several facial abnormality. August spent his childhood going from surgery to surgery. People that do not know him may think he is a different kid who they shouldn’t befriend, but the people who are the closest to him, see him as a kind hearted, funny and sweet person. August’s mother did not want him to go to school because young people have a tendency to blurt things out and she wanted to keep him away from that. This year, August is not ready to start his first year at an actual school.
