Audrey Hepburn was able to tell a story when she was acting, she made you believe that every story was hers. She was a talented performer known for her beauty, elegance, and grace. Audrey made her stage debut in the musical High Button Shoes in London. She didn’t stay on the stage for much longer. Audrey once said “Everything I learned I learned from the movies”. She then turned around and began making her own movies to teach people the pros and cons of life. Let me guide you into a world of pop culture, love at first sight, and few academy award.

As Audrey got older the world was developing a desire for power. During the year of 1939 Audrey’s mother, Ella, moved the family to the Netherlands hoping that they would be safe from the Nazi invasion. Sadly the Nazis invaded the Netherlands in 1940. Audrey recalls witnessing a load of Jewish children being herded into cattle trucks for deportation. Memories of the war left profound marks on Audrey. These memories were some of the reason she later became a well-known humanitarian. Audrey realized that there wasn’t much work and opportunities in England so she decided to pack her bags and try her luck in the states. Audrey was cast in parts on Broadway which later caught her attention for film roles. Her career kick-off film was Roman Holiday, she was rewarded an Oscar for best actress. This gained her respect and popularity in America, it also caught the eyes directors and producers of big films such as Funny Face, Sabrina, Love in the Afternoon and The Nun’s Story.
