My future plans of becoming a speech pathologist can be accredited to my summer trips to inner city Baltimore, Maryland as a mentor and counselor for the Agape House Ministries. Through my encounters with a diverse group of children and an environment that was entirely new to me, I realized that I am passionate about not only these children, but children in general. In my lifetime, I want to impact as many children as possible, particularly by helping them work through speech and cognitive issues as a speech-language pathologist. However, in order to eventually reach this goal, I will first need a college education. Education not only qualifies a person to work in the field of their choice, but it also allows them to see different points of view, and ultimately decide which way of thinking that they will adopt as their own.…

My main goal and the reason I am attending college is to achieve my objective of becoming a speech pathologist. To get more insight in becoming a speech pathologist I had decided to interview the speech pathologist at the school my mom teaches at. During my interview Ms. Sebastian had constantly brought up the amount of time and effort I must give to school in order to succeed. Though she constantly brought up how much time and effort I must give that is not my golden line, my golden line would be when she had told me even though the process of becoming a speech pathologist takes a while the end goal is worth it. Begin able to help a child talk correctly always makes you feel so amazing and the feeling is worth the hours of school.…

When a error is entered into a patient's chart incorrectly you should correct those errors only by drawing a single line through the incorrect entry and initialing it. This shows that you made a mistake and corrected properly as well as show you are not trying to hide anything. Some do's in this situation is to just make a mental note that you have made an error and correct that error right then and there. A don't would be mistakenly noting the wrong medication and risk giving the patient the wrong medications. Be very careful and aware of the notes you are making.…
