Introduction
In this paper, I want to conduct audience analysis for three articles. For the scholarly writing, I choose an essay discussing about Academic Achievement of Indochinese family. For the pop culture, I want to discuss a TV reality show. For the choice writing, I’ve decided to choose an essay which talks about the important role of effective communication between refugees and locals.

Scholarly Writing In the paper of “Academic Achievement of Indochinese family”, the author tries to explore the cause of academic achievement of Indochinese refugees. He analyzed the data collected from 5 urban areas and drew the conclusion that familial support played a decisive role in these Children’s academic performance. The purpose of this studies is to urge not only the educational institution but also American families to make reforms. John talks about the importance of effective communication between locals and refugees. As a multi-ethnic nation, there is significant amount of cultural conflict not only between the majority group and minority group but also between the minority groups. In this chapter, the author provides several typical cases in which the cultural conflict was solved by the means of communication. In his point of view, effective communication provides an effective solution to cultural conflict. The target readers of this book are supposed to be those persons who have great concern about the issues of refugees.
