Attrition can be defined as “A reduction in the number of employees through retirement, resignation or death”. Some are unique to the organisation while others are common strategies used throughout the industry. The following strategies listed below are considered to have the highest impact —

Strengthening communication processes and involvement of employees: (families also)
Employing a democratic style of leadership would benefit FSL as employees would have a say in the decision making process resulting in their opinions being heard by the higher level management. Managers should inform employees about company goals, strategies, new ideas, etc in order to gain involvement. Henceforth, greater employee involvement ramifies in minimising attrition faced by an organisation as after all, employees shouldn’t be “left in the dark”.

Recreation, Healthcare, etc :
In a BPO organisation like FSL where each associate tends to take 50-70 calls per day, tension/workload tends to build up leaving employees in a state of stress. Therefore providing a gym, healthcare facilities, pool table, etc. would harness in building a healthy/enthusiastic
