When we feel attracted to someone, our first instinct is to pull out the pick-up lines, and pick up the preening. But is that really what we look for in a partner? We could search through issues of fashion magazines, hours of television, and scores of magazines, and still have no definitive answer about what causes us to be attracted to other people.
