Atticus Finch Symbolism Analysis

Symbolism rarely appears in Atticus. One example of symbolism is Scott’s ticket to Germany. After the case of Scott’s suicide was over, Scott was suppose to fly to Germany and live a new life. The ticket symbolizes freedom. Scott’s freedom from his life is being symbolized. Scott would be able to escape his old life and live a new life as his doppelganger, Reinhardt Schmidt. He will be able to escape his old life and start from fresh. No more running from problems, time to love a new life for Scott. All the problems in Scott’s life would be left alive as he ventures into Germany in hopes of a new, better life.
