Today was a rough day at Finch’s house I heard Jem yelling at Scout for leaving him alone and telling her to grow up. I just my shaked head and sigh. Then she came up and started crying because Jem does not want to play with her anymore. After i calm her down I finished doing the dishes and putting them away. I love working for the Finch’s, they are so nice and welcoming. I know some people really dislike that i am working for the Finch’s. They treat me like family and Jem and Scout look at me like i am their mother. I know Scout doesn’t like that much because i yell at her but it's for her own good. Scout seem really upset when she heard Dill wasn’t going to be coming to Maycomb this year. And to make matter worse, the state legislature, of which Atticus is a member, is called into a session and Atticus would have to …show more content…
She kept on talking about Jem and Scout.

Jem wanted to go because Lula said, “You ain’t got no business bringin’ white chillum here-they got their church, we got our’n. It is our church, ain’t it, Miss Cal?”

After she left us alone we went to take our seat. Jem met my son Zeebo and they talked. I gave Jem and Scout a dime. Then Reverend Sykes started talking about Tom Robinson trouble, the man Atticus is defending in court. Scout was talking to Jem when she heard what Reverend said but he waited until Scout settling down.
After Church when we were walking home we saw someone on the porch rocking on the rocking chair. It was Alexandra (Their Aunt) I was shocked when she told me to go put her suitcase in the front bedroom. but then Jem volunteered to take her heavy suitcase. She thought Atticus told us she was coming well she thought wrong, he didn’t. She is staying with us for awhile and Scout doesn't like it because Aunt Alexandra wants to teach Scout how to be a lady.
