Attending George Washington Elementary School were challenging and rewarding years. My years in this school help me improve in my academics, especially in my English. As a kid, I had a struggle learning English because I was a Spanish speaker. During my first years in school my grades showed the difficulties I was passing through. Thanks to Ms.Garcia my fourth grade teacher who noticed and helped me by providing tutoring after school mostly throughout the entire school year. The extra help I had received helped me in my future school grades. I learned to communicate, since I was a girl who did not participate in class due to being timid and the limited knowledge of speaking and understanding English.
