Meeting new people that think fast, or think at the same level as me is rare to come by. In fifth grade I was in a class where thinking fast was not encouraged. BSI would also give me an opportunity to be challenged. I want to get work from teachers that requires more than just an answer I already know. I want my school work to inspire deep thinking that is more than just an easy answer. Learning is like swimming. Some days at school I feel like I’m being asked to swim in water that’s only a couple inches deep. I can walk through the water easily. There is not real effort in walking and I’m not swimming, I’m not getting better or improving. Attending BSI would give me an opportunity to be challenged to swim in deep water, learning new things in language arts not taught at the seventh grade level. When I want to learn something new I have to advocate for myself or look into the topic I want to know outside of school. Attending BSI would challenge me and let me work with adults who will advocate for me.
Overall attending BSI would be an exciting experience. I would meet new people and be challenged in a way that I have not been before. But the main reason why I want to attend BSI is the learning and growing involved. I love to learn. I enjoy the thrill of knowing something that I did not know before or becoming better at something that I do
