When I think of why Christ performed the atonement, I think of myself and others around me all in different walks of life each equally loved and valued. Christ’s atonement reaches out to each one. His atonement covers not only our natural tendency to sin to make mistakes but also helps us to lift ourselves up and forward in life. Through His atonement, we are able to work on becoming better and casting away sin, while at the same time work toward becoming more like Him. As we cast our natural tendencies off and seek for strength to do things we normally would not chose to do, His atonement strengthens us. It is as multifaceted in our lives as we work and seek and ask we are blessed to both overcome and achieve on a higher level. He blesses
