Nuclear Power Power is what drives people, countries, and ideas to become strong, but “power” in this sense is nuclear power which is inhumane when used on people. Nuclear power can be beneficial when converted into energy to create heat, but nuclear energy also has the ability to be extremely devastating when it is assembled into bombs. However, there are very few countries that hold this “power,” which creates a world where peace is scarce, and tension is always escalating. These nuclear bombs are in the arsenal’s of the United States, Russia, France, North Korea, and more countries. For example, the United States of America has roughly 7,000 nuclear warheads, and can be used at any moment’s notice with the push of a button. Every new president receives a new set of nuclear codes that the president can use in an event of war. The president is the only one who has the authority to launch nukes at any given time to any given target in something as simple as a briefcase. This briefcase codenamed the “Nuclear Football” is carried near the president at all times. The United States was the first country to develop nuclear weapons, and the only country to have used them in war. On the other hand, Russia has more nuclear warheads than any other country in the world, and Russia is currently investing in the modernization of its arsenal. Numerous amounts of the nuclear weapons the United States currently holds are dated back to the cold war era, and they are in the need of an…
