The Atomic bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki which had casualties that approximated 135,000 on Hiroshima and 64,000 on Nagasaki. For many years has still been very controversial in whether the United States should dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. I myself agree that the United States dropped the atomic bomb over Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the fatality rate for allied powers would have increased in the billions. We wanted a quick an easy way to finally put an end to world war 2.

The Japanese predicted twenty million casualties defending the home islands. The more revised Unites States estimates predicted up to four million in allied casualties with one million dead. Not to mention the 1.6 million Soviet troops who had just entered the theatre of conflict and who were ruthless in the battlefield and had a tendency to die in their thousands themselves, which would help us win the war in the first place. If we look into a deeper depth the atomic bombs killed between 150,000-250,000 depending on the information you may find. For instince U.S.History.org states, “On August 6, 1945, a plane called the Enola Gay dropped an atomic bomb on the city of Hiroshima. Instantly, 70,000 Japanese citizens were vaporized.” 70,000 Japanese died which would of taken us more than a couple of months.
