Leatherback Turtle Migration Animals naturally migrate major and minor distances in the world for different purposes. Interestingly, we have observed various animals to understand about migration more. We will describe about the Atlantic leatherback turtle. Atlantic leatherback turtle, also known scientifically as Dermochelys coriacea, are the largest of all sea turtles, one of the largest reptiles on Earth, four to eight feet long, and weighs between 500 to 2,000 pounds. In the other measurements, they are 1.2-2.4 metres long and weigh between 225-900 kg.
They are reptiles, which migrate about 100,000 miles or 8,800,000 body lengths or more each year from the United States and Canada to the southern areas. Naturally, migration for the leatherback
