Atl Reflection

1.) I feel that across the board all ATLs have been great at the workshops. They each have their own style which keeps the workshops refreshing and new because of the rotation of ATLs for each workshop.
2.) Simon is the best at one on one anything. He is by far the smartest ATL on the floor and he has enough experience in the industry to answer just about any question someone has. He also has the ability to own up to not knowing something and finding the answer to that question later. Then there is Bret. His one on ones are of absolutely no help. He has done nothing in any of our 1:1 appointments that has helped me. I remember specifically a time on ff1 where I said I was struggling to get numbers and his response was "have you tried getting

If you were to ask him even now, I bet he still doesn’t know where half of us are going. There are a number of us who have known where we are going since day one, and almost none of our regional leaders know who Bret is or that we are even coming up until about a week ago. Another example is when one of us asked Bret specifically about a goodknight that he had talked to his host FA about. The rep approached Bret about the goodnight and he said he knew nothing about it. That rep then approached another ATL and that ATL knew all about it and informed that rep. There have also been a number of opportunities that have opened up in regions we are specifically going to and we are the ones that find them only to find out they had reached out to the FACD program with no response. The group understands that it is our responsibility to find our place with the program, but when the region does not even know we are coming, it is impossible. On multiple occasions Bret has told more than one of us that he has called our region to inform them of whatever pertinent information there is, only once again to find out that he never actually called them or reached out to them. We don’t think he does this on purpose, but he genuinely forgets, but his forgetfulness is a detriment to our

When asked to name someone who I think is an exemplary communicator, the person that comes to my mind is a role model of mine, Micaella. At the beginning of my junior year of high school I chose to take a class called Professional Career Internship, or Cadet Teaching. This class provided students with the opportunity to experience elementary school classrooms and the responsibilities involved in teaching by placing them in a classroom to act as an aide to their assigned supervising teacher. Micaella was my assigned supervising teacher and allowed me to take on a large role within her classroom and quickly became someone I looked up to…

I volunteered at Jack Jouett Middle School for the eighth-grade AVID program. In the classes, I helped students go through the AVID tutorial process. I functioned as a guide who coached the students through a Socratic process to understand points of confusion from their core classes, and then through collaborative work to understand the steps needed to clarify their point of confusion. All students in the AVID class apply to be in the program. They must have average to high test scores with a C to B+ grade point average.…

My responsibility for this workshop was to proceed with a handover of a patient to an intern (played by Dr. Michael Adamson). This was a particularly disasterous session. My performance was not only unfit within the scope of academic criteria, but was clearly short of acceptable for a real-world SBAR. During the reading of the scenario I was daunted by the task of having to SBAR report a patient to admission at a hostpital, based on information I was reading for the first time; my practice with the hand-over system was minimal prior to the session.…

He was incredible at what he did, no doubt about it. Alex and I were best friends for a very long time. He would crack a joke about blue being a terrible color and we would then get into a debate as to why he was wrong.…

In this book there are many parts where it makes you wonder about why this happened or why did someone do something. First I will be listing three different I wonder sentences. I wonder why Kludd wasn’t really helped or talked to when he was a kid. My evidence for the question is that the author shows how from chapter 1 to chapter 5 get’s his parent’s help, but Kludd only gets to watch.…

When I considered taking WRTG 101 this semester I was unsure how much it would affect my writing style. I have always had issues with the strength of my writing and my overall writing style. Whether it was run on sentences, proper citations, an overall passive writing style, or proper use of pronouns my writing style needed a tune up. After taking this class I have an improved overall understanding of the writing process and how to apply it in different writing situations. Run on Sentences were a concern before I took the class, however now I have a much better understanding of proper sentence structures.…

Today I presented my untitled poem to the class. My poem was about my life here in Pensacola and some of my opinions on staying here and leaving. I really didn’t have any major inspiration to the poem besides the fact that I have been watching a ton of college move in videos on youtube. I always say things like “I hate Pensacola” or “there’s nothing to do here” (which I still agree with) and “I can’t wait until I leave”, but honestly, I can wait. I can wait forever.…

Over the course of studying E214 I have thought greatly about my own practice working as an HLTA in a mainstream primary school, where I mainly work with children that experience barriers to learning. These barriers are due to the children having special educational needs or due to having English as an additional language. I now question whether the children I work with are part of a system that has created othering and if through them being othered they included as fully as possible or are they still subject to exclusion through the barriers they experience when accessing the national curriculum or through their progress not being as high as expected by society. (online unit 17) The focus of education appears to be about the grades and progress…

I'm glad to help you! I probably spent 30 min out of class time on AP Physics and Chem-- I honestly just worked really hard in class and did my HW/reviewed my notes the night before tests. That's totally dependent on how good your teachers are and your own natural ability in the sciences. I did a minimal amount of outside work for Lang, only really for projects because we did all our essays in class. APUSH took like hours each night, because it was a lot of reading and I'm a slow reader.…
