I am Ashleigh Hockman. Some will see me as a normal American high school student with a simple small town education. I’d like to open up to you the parts most people don’t see about me. Here’s what people see me as: a student, an athlete, and a club member. That's pretty good to be seen as, right? Yes, of course, but I want to be seen as so much more than what’s on the surface. This is who I am: a Christian athlete, a devoted student, an involved club member.

Something that has particularly shaped me these past two years is Athletic Leadership Council (ALC.) This is an organization at my school that invited me into for demonstrating leadership skills on and off my teams and in the classroom. I have only been in ALC for a short while, but I
