Athletes Should Be Paid

Throughout the years, many colleges have had much controversy over whether or not athletes should be paid to play in college. This deciding factor is still “no” at the moment but continues to be up in the air about whether or not athletes should get paid. Paying athletes would just lead to loss in revenue as well as other sports on campus that are not as popular, and would also result in greed. Therefor athletes should to not get a salary, and should not be paid for playing a sport.
Athletes argue that much of their time goes into sports, and that they never have time to work, or earn money towards their college tuition. What most athletes do not mention is the scholarships, or other funds that they have received while playing their sport. Most of the athletes who want to be paid are the ones who are better known,

However, athletes must focus on their studies while also working a more than full-time job in the gym. Teachers also like for students to have comprehension skills so that they don’t have to go through the book with the students just to tell them what it is about. Reading in general expands one's vocab. Repeated reading doesn’t really expand the students vocab it just reinforces the students brain with what the word is and means. Expanding vocabulary is best for a student, it aids them in reading because when they read, they can’t get stuck on words since they know them already.Students that reread are fluent reads, because rereading improves reading fluency dramatically. Students that reread don’t get hung up on words or have trouble pausing at commas and periods or sound like a robot when they read, the students read with more emotion since they know how to read the material.
