\Athletes will turn down huge contracts mentioning they have a family to feed. Being an athlete can ruin you, yet athletes still do what they love to entertain us. Athletes risk so many things. For example they get injured to please us, that is their way of making money. Athletes are so busy they don’t have time to think about retirement, so when retirement comes it’ll be hard for them to support themselves and their family.

One reason to support this argument is that after retirement they get no income so with insurance, taxes, groceries, or debt they have. It’s going to be difficult to pay for all of that. Another reason is athletes know what money can do to them, so many athletes will turn down huge contracts saying “they have a family to feed”. The last reason is that their life is like a vacation. Other people schedule basically their whole life for them. So from seeing this, athletes don’t really have time to think about retirement. In conclusion, everyone has to support themselves and their family, but when you’re an athlete you don’t have time to think about these kind of things.
Critics argue athletes are irresponsible with money, but when you look at the big picture athletes usually have a reason why.
