Imagine someone who plays games for a living, now imagine that they are worth millions more than you or your family will ever be. Additionally, you believe the people who say that, you believe that someone who throws around a ball all day is, and always will be, better than you. All over the world, mainly in America, athletes are now paid millions more than the average person, and all because of our societal standards. Many people in this country do not care if you save lives, they only care if you can catch a ball, or even run the fastest. That is why athletes all over the United States of America, the land of the free, are being paid enormous amounts of money for so little work.

Many athletes who are just considered average do not get the opportunities to be interviewed by the media, looked at as superstars on campus, and get free meals. The average college athlete will spend their time practicing or playing their sport. When they are not partaking in their sport they have to work on their education, which leaves them with practically no time for a job to make money. Consequently, that is why the money that professional athletes and entertainers earn should not be as much because of America's economic crisis. I also feel that professional athletes and entertainers should not earn large sums of money because they do not teach Americans valuable lessons.
