His quote directly shows that athletes are being paid too much. For example athletes get paid a great deal more than the working class. They also get paid way more than surgeons, who save lives. Imagine you are a hardworking doctor or lawyer, and you aren't getting paid the amount you should be. Other people like you who are bettering our community aren't getting paid the amount they should be, and all of your tax money is going towards paying for athletic stadiums. Doctors, teachers, government employees, police officers, firefighters, and lawyers should be receiving the money that athletes receive. Professional athletes provide entertainment for society, but I believe they receive an unreasonable salary. Overall, athletes are overpaid because all they are doing is playing a game to entertain while other more important professions are making much less, they don't contribute to society, there are better places to use the money, and the money received could be used to pay for more useful causes that would benefit our society.…

The average salary of a professional NBA player is about 5.15 million dollars. When one takes this massive amount of dough and compares it to the average salary of a middle class citizen, which ranges from 42,000 dollars to 125,000 dollars, one would notice that the NBA player makes substantially more than the average citizen. Professional athletes should have smaller salaries because jobs that save lives get payed way less, ---, and the money they are getting could be used to help the community. When looking at the paychecks of athletes and the paychecks of people in the military or people who are doctors, you would realize, the athlete gets more money. This is completely and utterly absurd.…

Pro athletes, entertainers we root for them, we love them. They get to live a great life with all the money they earn but do they deserve that money, yes their talented but they don't save lives like doctors do or even go on dangerous missions to save people like firefighters and cops do but they get all this money and spend it pointless and worthless things. Who needs gold teeth or anything of the like ? The fact that we can do more for the people who need the money with the money instead of giving it to pro athletes to buy a mansion makes me feel sick that were wasting money.…

Actors and Actresses, singers and athletes are very entertaining, but I don't think they should be paid higher than doctors and surgeons. I would consider myself a pretty big movie fan, if there is a new release I want to see, I am the first in line at the theatre. There are TV shows that everyone watches religiously, and movie stars and actors that we adore. Acting and being able to bring a character to life is a talent, but is it more of a talent than performing life saving operations like surgeons do? I don't think so.…
