“Education is the key to success,”- Solomon Ortiz, without teachers, we would not have our key to success. Pro Athletes shouldn’t have a higher paying salary than teachers, teachers touch more people, without teachers we would be nowhere, and teachers put in more hours overall than most athletes. Education or entertainment which do you choose. What you are about to read is going to tell you why athletes shouldn’t get paid more than teachers. Teachers impact more people than any athlete out there. They teach every student that comes into their class until the day they leave the classroom. They help the student that struggled with multiplying two digits by one digit. Teachers stick with the kid and believe them every step of the way. Many people say that athletes work harder and they put in more hours than teachers, but, teachers go to school at seven a.m. they teach for about eight hours they do that five days a week. A study found that football players spend up to 40 hours a week practicing, so they’re equal or so we thought, but then teachers go home and they relax right, wrong they have to grade papers and lesson plan for tomorrow or next week. Then the weekend comes, they might have a day to relax but they’re probably thinking of the kid who just doesn’t get how anything times one is itself. Or the student who no one ever talks or the kid who doesn’t always have their hair brushed, or the cleanest clothes. Pro Athletes shouldn’t have a higher paying salary than teachers, teachers touch more people, without teachers we would be nowhere, and teachers put in more hours overall than most athletes. So in conclusion athletes shouldn’t get paid more than teachers. Would you rather just have enterainment or education. Entertainment isn’t bad, it’s bad when the people doing entertainment are getting paid more than the teachers that taught them. The
