Greece is a country I have always fantasized of traveling to. After looking at pictures of the turquoise blue waters and the views from the cliffs overlooking the vast Mediterranean Sea are breath taking. I find the Greek culture and rich history such as Mythology to be fascinating. Greek culture is defined by its traditions, music, language, art, and literature as well as the tremendous passion for life that Greek people pride themselves on. While traveling I would first go the typical tourist route and see the grand historical monuments such as the Parthenon in Athens and the Meteora in Kalabaka. Although they are on separate islands, I strongly desire to see them both. After observing history, I think it is important to be immersed in the authentic Greek culture in order to step outside myself and appreciate a culture different than my own.
